Confused by Slow/Fast mode, Impulse, Peak, A and C weighting, and calibration? Here comes a simple noise meter application for your iPhone. It displays the average sound level and the max value in clear digits. Shaking the phone will reset the max value. Also, this application can automatically identify the built-in and external microphone to pre-calibrate the meter.

Even though we have tested HowLoud with professional grade equipment with good results, this application is for recreational use only.

To running HowLoud on 2nd Generation iPod Touch, a iPhone headset with microphone is required.
